Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the website or services of Naglee Moving & Storage, Inc. (“Naglee,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website or engaging our moving or storage services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using nagleegroup.com or engaging Naglee for moving or storage services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services
Naglee Moving & Storage, Inc. provides residential, commercial, corporate, international, and specialized moving and storage services in the Elmira, New York area and beyond, as an authorized agent of United Van Lines. The specific terms of any move or storage arrangement are governed by the service agreement, bill of lading, or storage contract executed at the time of booking.
3. Estimates and Quotes
Estimates provided by Naglee are based on information supplied by the customer at the time of inquiry. Final pricing may vary based on actual shipment weight or volume, distance, access conditions, and any additional services requested. A binding estimate, where offered, will specify a fixed price for the described scope of services.
4. Booking and Cancellation
Moves should be scheduled as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are outlined in your individual service agreement. Depending on the timing of the cancellation, fees may apply. Please contact us directly to discuss your options.
5. Payment
Payment terms are specified in your service agreement or bill of lading. Naglee reserves the right to require payment in full prior to delivery of your shipment. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking.
6. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth and successful move, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about all items to be moved or stored
- Ensure clear and safe access to pick-up and delivery locations, including driveways, doorways, elevators, and stairs
- Disclose in advance any items that require special handling, disassembly, or permits
- Be present, or have an authorized representative present, at both pick-up and delivery
- Identify and separately transport items of exceptional personal or monetary value not covered under standard valuation
- Obtain any required parking permits, elevator reservations, or building approvals before moving day
7. Prohibited Items
Certain items cannot be transported by law or for safety reasons. The following items are generally excluded from transport:
- Hazardous materials, including gasoline, propane, paint thinner, solvents, and explosives
- Perishable food items and open containers
- Live plants and animals
- Ammunition and firearms (unless specifically arranged and legally transported)
- Currency, financial instruments, deeds, or documents of exceptional value
- Personal items you wish to transport yourself
Please speak with your move coordinator if you have questions about specific items.
8. Liability and Claims
Naglee’s liability for loss or damage to goods is governed by applicable federal regulations and the terms of your bill of lading. Standard coverage is based on weight (60 cents per pound per article) unless additional full-value protection coverage is purchased prior to the move. We strongly encourage all customers to review their coverage options in advance.
In the event of loss or damage, any issues must be noted on the bill of lading at the time of delivery. Written claims must be submitted within the timeframes specified in your service agreement. Our team will guide you through the claims process.
9. Storage
Storage services are subject to the terms of a separate storage agreement, which includes applicable rates, access policies, and liability limitations. Naglee is not responsible for items not listed on the storage inventory. Storage rates are subject to change with appropriate notice.
10. Fine Arts and Specialized Services
Specialized services, including fine art moving, crating, and installation provided through Naglee Fine Arts, are subject to additional terms outlined in the applicable service agreement. Fine art and high-value items may require independent valuation and specialized insurance coverage arranged prior to the move.
